Configuration SEM
On this page, you’ll find an overview of SEM configuration options that will help you tailor measurement to your needs and ensure it works correctly in Sklik. You’ll learn how to work with user consent, how to leverage user data for more accurate measurement, set up products and dynamic retargeting, manage audiences, and define conversions so they align with your business goals.
Consent management
SEM respects the user’s consent for tracking. How consent is passed depends on which consent management solution your website uses
User data
Sending user data enables accurate matching of conversions and retargeting audiences even in cookieless environments – for example on mobile devices or in browsers that block third-party tracking.
Product object – contents
The contents array describes the individual products in a transaction. It is passed in the ViewContent, AddToCart, AddToWishlist, InitiateCheckout, AddPaymentInfo and Purchase events.
Dynamic Retargeting (DRTG)
Dynamic retargeting allows you to automatically show ads for specific products or categories that a user has viewed. All you need to do is pass the correct parameters in a ViewContent or PageView event.
Retargeting lists
SEM replaces the old retargeting codes with a unified system of retargeting lists managed in Event Management. Lists are populated automatically based on SEM events.
Conversion management
In the Event Management → Conversions section you define which SEM events should be counted as conversion actions, what value they have, and under what conditions.
